By Popular Demand: A New 2 week session!

Have your heard the great news? We've added a a new two week session of camp to THIS summer's schedule!

July 31-August 12, 2005 For kids entering grades 3, 4, 5 and 6. This is during the first 2 weeks of Session IV.

You can register online right now or request a paper registration form from us. If you are already signed up for this summer, you can add this session or switch to it just by calling us at (415)543-2267.

All 2-week campers will be together in Carmel. Kids entering 6th grade next fall are on the cusp between Carmel and the next older Unit of Galil, so they actually can choose between a 2 and 3 week option during Session IV.

The new 2-week session in August will have everything our other 2-week session offers: Backpacking, Ropes Course, Shabbat, A&C, pool, lake and on and on. The price is the same ($1,990 plus transportation and canteen deposit). Camperships are available. Sign up today!

News from Israel!

Deborah Newbrun, our beloved camp director, is back from her sabbatical in Israel. She came to a staff meeting yesterday full of energy and great stories about living in Jerusalem.

Deb met all of our new schlichim (Israeli staff) and is happy to report that they're amazing. Lots of shlichim from years past are returning, and several new additions to the team will be with them!

This picture is of Ronit - who many of you remember from Arts & Crafts last summer. Ronit will be this summer's rosh mischlachat, or head of the Israeli delegation.

Whether in fair or in cold, snowy weather

Camp is covered in snow right now and everything is beautiful and peaceful. Here are a couple of pictures from a recent visit.

Mighty glad you're here

Welcome one and all to the brand new Camp Tawonga blog - the 21st century incarnation of the Pipeline! This will be a fun place to read news about camp, see photos from the past and present, and get the latest gossip about what to expect this summer!

Here's a peek behind the scenes on what's up in the San Francisco office:

Dan is signing up campers for sessions this summer - there has been a flurry of activity since we announced the brand new Session IV Carmel unit. If you haven't heard the news, we have created a brand new 2 week session just for 3rd - 6th graders during Session IV. You can go to camp on July 31 just like a normal Session IV trip, but come home after only 2 weeks instead of 3. Response has been awesome and we have 3 full bunks already. We have room for you, too, so call us for information or just go ahead and sign up online!

Kendra is working on the new 2005 Guide for Parents, which is going out in the mail really soon to everyone who's signed up for camp. If you just can't wait for your copy, you can check it out online.
